I don't like how mech recharging is handled either. It's also annoying that you can't order mechs to perform specific tasks but.you sort of can by micromanaging area boxes and permissions? Just do us a favor, give mechs forced tasks and a task queue like normal colonists. Your only options are to manually put them in and out of the 'dormant' group or allow them to wander around, occasionally dying in traps? I find it really annoying that there is no option to have your mechs recharge or at least switch into dormant mode when they have no tasks. Prodigious steel and component requirements necessitate a mountain or at least large hills biome base but, the mining mech isn't available with the basic mech tech? Terrible. I figure all new players experience this and you can abuse the AI in all manor of funny or cheesy ways. or a make a loadable colony and save scum until the AI doesn't trigger a raid at all because all the ones they did spawn wiped my colony easily. I start a commitment mode colony and die within a month to a raid 2-3 times my colonies entire population, fitted with weaponry leagues ahead of anything I could hope to make or buy. this game because of this seems to go 1 of 2 ways. Now, I know raids are made through a set of calculations and 15 guys to some might sound like a super low number or some such. I was raided by 15 genetically modified half xenos who shot me with assault rifles and farted toxic waste in my house on the guy who just barely managed to limp inside and fall over The reminder was when I have a complete sum of 2 people, a handful of beginning supplies and a recently cobbled together shack. I couldn't recall why I had put the game down before. I'm somewhat new to rimworld, a very casual player coming back from a long break.
